Higher Education - Bubble, Closed Society Or Free Market? - Investopedia.com

Higher Education - Bubble, Closed Society Or Free Market? - Investopedia.com

Important reading especially if you are thinking of or attending college. What does the future of our educational system hold? Are many gifted students who may not fit the traditional "college-bound" role being snubbed because of their particular talents in a "service" industry and is their education being diverted? Just some thoughts for you to think about.

  1. Hi Barb glad your stepping out and doing this blog and will look forward to future postings!

You know the higher education system in our country places a value on a slip of paper which may or may not mean anything. It all seems so self serving. Granted higher education is required for many occupations but there was a time were most of the people around us where not college educated - it was the exception. Our country was the world power with a immense, creative, dedicated work force governed by a moral, and spiritual ethic.

This thing is just another symptom of us missing the important things: discovering and using our personal gifts, talents, skills with a dash of good character. Our current environment is stifling this normal course.
